We are seeking an individual with 3 – 5 years’ work-related experience in commercial and residential applications. This candidate must have working knowledge of carpentry, basic electricity, plumbing and HVAC, emergency generators, as well as, excellent trouble-shooting and customer service skills. The position is for a full-time Facilities Manager who will take ownership of their responsibilities, communicate with the management team and perform necessary tasks, from grounds maintenance to mechanical preventive maintenance.

Under the direction of the Administrator, The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor ensures all aspects of cleanliness throughout the community are maintained in a safe, efficient and effective manner through the management of the environmental team members. This position oversees the safe and appropriate procurement, storage and use of chemicals and of cleaning procedures, to ensure consistent cleaning systems are in place and the schedule of the residents and team members are considered. The Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor also oversees the training, scheduling, and evaluation of environmental department employees to insure adequate numbers of qualified staff members are on duty as needed. They conducts quality assurance audits to ensure environmental systems are effective to adhere to the standards of infection control and safety.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated to accomplish assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision and lead team members toward accomplishing common goals. Experience in long-term care a plus.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Current certification from the State of Iowa for Nurse Aide. Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions. Must have willingness to learn and provide compassionate care for the frail elderly and persons with dementia.
Job Purpose: Responsible for resident personal care needs as delegated by the Director of Nursing or designee and as outlined in service plans.
Essential Functions: Assist and serve residents with all activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, including bathing/showering, dressing, grooming, ambulation, toileting, eating, laundry, housekeeping, activities, and accompanying on medical appointments.
Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current registration with state board of examiners. Advanced preparation or experience in geriatrics is preferred. Supervisory experience is desirable. Must have willingness to learn and provide compassionate care for the frail elderly and persons with dementia.
Job Purpose: Responsible for transcribing physician’s orders, administering medications and treatments as prescribed and providing professional nursing services. Observe and communicate resident changes to physician. Responsible for resident personal care needs and outlined in service plans.
Assist Director of Nursing with employee and resident orientation, instruction, supervision and evaluation of nursing support staff.
Role model constructive relationships with residents, families, and staff to create an environment that is supportive to optimal resident function, motivating for staff satisfaction and creativity, and that encourages family and staff partnerships for care of residents.
Evaluate and assess resident needs. Assist in development of an individualized service plan for a specific caseload of residents based on comprehensive assessment.
Assist with new resident and new employee orientation.
